The Recaro seats are flat out the best seats I've ever driven in. They're comfy with lots of adjustment and they hold me nice and snug around the corners - as is fitting with this 1LE cornering machine!
But right off the bat I noticed my seats were awfully worn from the seatbelt *already* and I didn't want it to go any further. I worked through a couple ideas and eventually my lovely wife, who happens to be very artistic and crafty, came up with a pretty sweet little idea. Crocheted out of Type 1 paracord, keeps the seat belt from damaging the seat at all.

And this last one tonight to catch up on what I've done so far:
Got the gill insert vinyl installed before work. Really adds some substance to the side of the car, especially with all the other matte black on the car.

Nice man. I would wait on installing the separate clutch reservoir. Unfortunately it makes the clutch fluid become dirty very quickly, which is really bad. I mean in just a few days of hard driving you would be surprised. After a week, it can look pretty bad. Just a heads up. I had one and lost my original reservoir and could not go back. I ended up buying a larger separate reservoir, but I had to get a bracket made, and it was a real headache. Basically, with a little reservoir you are going to flushing every week (depending on miles) if you want to keep it clean, which is a pain.
Also be careful with those zl1 add on jack pads. They look like the first ones that were made, which again I do have. I have had one get a little unstable on me. I wouldn't trust all those up on jack stands at once. The newer one, which I didn't buy, has a larger, more stable base. I didn't buy the newer ones, because I found the best place to put a jack at the rear is at the lift point. I bought jack stand covers to keep them from scratching the frame. Not trying to burst your bubble, just trying to give you a heads up (not like it is really possible if you drive a 1le). The skip shift eliminator is awesome though, def get that on asap.

Thanks for all the info! I really do appreciate it. I realize the fluid gets dirty, but I got into the routine of swapping the fluid regularly in my V6 so its nothing new. I prefer to keep all that contamination away from the brake system.
Thanks for the tip about the jacking blocks, and I didn't even realize I could lift the car from those points. Now I need some pucks for my floor jack!

I wanted to show you a pic after seeing your sig picture - my last 5th gen was a 2013 Victory Red 1LE - I traded a 2011 SGM SS in for it. Great minds think alike! Perfect choice in rides my friend -

More fun stuff put on this weekend!
And this is the first time I've sucked out the fluid since adding the second reservoir. The fluid was already pretty contaminated, but I'm working on getting it clear again.

So I sort of forgot I was keeping a "build thread". Been a pretty uneventful year, Recently put in this beauty though.

Added some other pics I found, updated a few posts and will eventually get around to completing my sound system install here pretty soon. I installed my JL amp and 12" JL sub using the Fark harness, but didn't snag any pics when I did it. Also threw on a "1LE" badge from emblempros which I will get a pic of as well.

EPCO mfg.
You can custom order anything you want from them on the knob, takes about 2 weeks to make. Search on here for ideas, there are a lot of cool ones
