You could sign the waiver stating YOU will never sell it.......

But, when the unfortunate happens, whenever that may be, your estate will have it. At that point the waiver you signed becomes moot and they would just sell it (or it would go to your kids or whomever you select in your last will and testament or in your trust).

The only thing that MIGHT work is if you have stipulated in the waiver you sign from GM that you will never sell the car, and then once you pass on the car is to be IMMEDIATELY returned to GM. Of course, as we all know the speed and efficiency our great judicial system works (even settling estates takes about a year) would take months, during which time 10 kids might grab the keys, take it out for a joy ride, wrap it around a telephone pole, and then your estate or GM has a nightmare of litigation to deal with (kids getting into a wreck in a car not meant for consumer use i.e. no VIN#, without properly functioning safety features, maybe the gas lines and electrical wiring on the IVERs is sloppy and not routed safely to keep clear in the event of an accident, all sorts of stuff)

Just park it next to the dumpster and I'll recycle it for you Scott. No paperwork involved or required.

What really needs to be made is a short, print of explaining the Shunt saga for those of us that want to get plates and shirts.... that way if someone asks about it, you can pull it out of the glove box, hand it to the person thats asking and say "Read this, and you'll understand."

The interiors are very primitive in that there is lots of hard plastic -- no graining -- parts in some cases are velcroed together -- or glued/taped.

Unfortuntely, because of the above, they cannot be sold -- and as a result, they are crushed after recycling as many materials as possible........

Yes -- we've had people offer money for them -- along with their willingness to sign a waiver -- the problem is that a waiver is no good once they sell the vehicle to a second owner..........

So -- some of the material just MAY make it into your new Camaro -- because of recycling..........

We did keep an Alpha and a Beta of the C5 Corvette -- so I'd like to keep a Beta IVER of the Camaro --

.........because I think a lot of Camaro Enthusiasts would like to see where Shunt actually lived -- whoops
-- I mean -- I think people would like to see what an IVER looks like up close ---
Well you could leave them in out in a parking lot some place, with the keys in them. GM can't be liable for a car that was stolen from them, can they?
