They are trying to kill my kid!

I got a letter in the mail... it's from the Southern California Air Quality Management District (this is a government agency, and they are here to help!).

The letter serves as notification of my right to protest something that a local business is trying to do.

Get this... there is a small business--- just a few miles from my home!--- that has applied for a permit to install a SMALL GENERATOR on the premises, to be used in the event of power failures. And-- get this--- it's an INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE! Yep... these murderous killers and haters of Mother Earth want to occasionally sometimes maybe run a small internal combustion engine in the same town that my little girl BREATHES AIR IN!

The letter also informs me that the State of California has determined that internal combustion engines can contribute to certain health problems.

I have the right to go voice my opinion on this matter... and if I voice it correctly, and with enough opinion and a little luck, I can perhaps enact change, and stop this travesty from being foisted upon my child.

Apparently, the parents of ALL children in my area have been notified... I guess children are more likely to victims of the murderous internal combustion engine, and, as a parent, it's my right--- my duty--- to protect my kid.

It also comes to my attention that with the AQMD being a government agency, that I PAID for this letter, and the thousands of others like it, to be mailed out. I paid for the time and effort being put into this effort, I paid for the government interference against some poor schmuck just trying to start a small business. I paid for this.

For you, it's not a big deal. For someone else, it might be.

Here, not having power to run the AC when it is 100+ is a health concern for the elderly and infirm. I guess we hate the children.

Put the kids on a bike attached to the generator. They get exercise and don't have to breathe toxic air.

Well I am saying that is what they would prefer because they don't care how much it costs someone else.
