It all depends on what your looking to do with the car in the future.. Are you staying Naturally aspirated? Are you planning on getting a turbo? A supercharger? There isn't just one generic cam.. Lots of different options.. Think ahead before jumping into any cam. unless you don't mind dumping a lot of money into the same build more then once.. But otherwise.. BTR makes great stuff... A lot of people also have great luck with the "Nightfury" Cam.. Make sure to do all the appropriate upgrades along with the cam to maintain integrity...

Good luck.

If you haven't done so already, get your intake and headers first before moving on with a cam swap. Id strongly recommend using Cam Motion as the cam core.

Cams don't do anything power wise, just change the noise of your engine. So you'll be good with anything.

We offer several different camshafts for the LS3/L99 engine depending on the application. Is your Camaro an automatic or manual transmission?

A manual transmission will allow for more choices on camshafts without performing supporting modifications. An automatic transmission narrows down the offerings due to DOD, cylinder head status and torque converter. For L99 cars we offer a DOD delete kit to eliminate displacement on demand which includes your choice of our camshafts. Is driveability a major concern of yours?

In most cases installing a camshaft alone will pick up minor gains where if you were to install a camshaft, cylinder heads and headers you will see significant horsepower gains. Installing camshaft, heads and headers will be you best opportunity to save money on labor versus installing these three items alone.

I just did a Brian Tooley Racing Stage 2 cam on my L99. LS3 conversion, valve train upgrades includind rocker trunions and spring kit, along with DODWT delete and precision 2400 stall converter. The final numbers aren't in yet as I've been getting updates along the way but things look promising!
This is my retirement gift to myself and though I don't drive it everyday, I wanted some old school flavor to it. I've heard a sound clip and it has that nice lope to it! Some of my buddies have gone very aggressive with Stage 3 or 4 cams and it's just a little bit too radical for me. I wanted good street manners and not over the top in sound.
I had previously installed ARH LT Headers, CAI Intake, VMax TB all on a SLP catback exhaust.
I'm going to be very happy with what I'll have at the end of the day.

Im very interested in the results, I'm debating between the BTR stage 2 & 3 cam myself.

I just got the final numbers, my baseline was 370rwhp and after the install I'm now at 450rwhp. I'll take that for sure. He's got some tweaking to do on drivability but he's happy and says I will be too!
