Is this normal on your camaro?

Hey guys I just got my first oil change about two days ago, so this morning I thought I'd check my oil to make sure everything was good(haven't drove it since). Anyways I saw this and I was like what the hell? Its like the paint melted maybe from the brake booster? Is this normal on your guys' V8/V6? If not, what can I do, dealer wise. I'd appreciate some insight!

Yea, Had That same Problem. The Brake Fluid Reservoir/Cap leaks.
There is a TSB for that problem. Miine was out of the 36/3 year Warrenty so I had to pay for the Fix. they have to Replace the Reservoir and Cap.

No need to replace the reservoir or cap.

Just go buy this:

Less than $10 and it will fix your problem.

I'm thinking that since I still have warranty might as well have them fix it and document. I'm thinking of trading up to a 1LE from my 1SS. They better not taking off money off that lol

It looks like the brake fluid has taken off the paint on the fender/firewall structure below the reservoir. Yeah, I'd take it to the dealer.

Plus the leak could eventually make the brakes fail.

How much brake fluid is in the reservoir? The reservoir looks empty.....unless the fluid is brand new.

Kaboom has the answer if they wont fix it...it's a common problem, the whole system is not much better than the cap itself.

It's filled up all the way, I'm thinking they did so when I took it in for my first oil change.

They did fix it on 14's from what i understand they fixed it late model 13's much like on the late model 2011's you got the strut tower holes pre-drilled for the brace. Someone at your dealership/oil changes locale overfilled or didn't tighten the cap enough or torqued it more then needed and ruined the seal. Had mine done after it ruined some underhood accessories it is just the cap and seal that needs to be replaced.

So what are they doing about the paint that has blistered off? In the pic above that means the entire engine compartment needs to be repainted. Who pays for that? It wouldn't be me, and I am going to go check mine right now.
