The homer is strong in this thread.
The Hellcat, whether Challenger or Charger, is twice the car of the Camaro 1LE and a considerable upgrade to the ZL1. The Z28 is the only one that holds a candle to it, and that is only because it is a very good one-purpose car. And I love my 1LE. Just sayin' |

I love my 1lE its definatly the 1 of the best road cars I have driven .. I have a Shelby gt with full road race suspension watts link and 730 rwhp 8100 rpm 6 speed so I have 2 good handling cars and 2014 Chevy SS sedan ..the Camaro is beautiful inside with comfy interior compared to my 07 mustang but even at close too 500 rwhp 1LE just too easy to drive fast and boring not violent and raw as what I'm used to .i love cars that turn on the power like a light switch . The 1le is strong but just to linear and smooth...I ride an 8 second zx14r I love the hit and my Shelby hits like my bike .I love the 1LE maybe I should put a novi 1500 on it from ecs and keep it or I should just wait to see the 2016 Camaro .thanks for all the opinions in no way I am knocking this car it's truley world class performer and rivals cars costing 2.5 times it .I am probably un fairly judging it against built race car and I have been spoiled by being used to having 700 hp on tap all the time ..

Is the Hellcat cool? Sure. Is it my cup of tea? Not at all. The Hellcat and 1LE are designed for completely different purposes. I like carving windy roads and tracking, so I'll keep the 1LE. That said, I'd love to drive one sometime.

I have no desire to even drive one, much less own one. Useless car if there ever was one.

No, I don't need that much power to have fun. I'll buy a Ford before something from Dodge.

I don't think Hellcat is any replacement for 1LE, but it is a great car nevertheless. If you can own both, it would be golden. FCA operates on the lowest profit margin in the industry right now, which translates to most bang for the buck for you. Once the intiial frenzy is over, getting one of these with a good discount would be great! My truck ('14 RAM 1500 Hemi) has a 33K MSRP, but I was able to get it for 23.5K brand new. I also got my '11 Durango (again with Hemi) at the time for $31.8K brand new and it had $38.5K MSRP. These are amazing values.
