For that 1% of owners who actually track their 1LE-equipped SS and believe that crap, it might matter, for the other 99%, it's function is pointless.

Hellcat = Muscle Car

1LE = Sport Muscle Car

Dodge event said, they built the Hellcat for a street demon... not a track car.

The problem with that idea is you would sell your Hellcat for $60K and spend that $60K to end up with a 1LE worth maybe $35K after a year.

This is not an Apples to Apples comparison. An SS with a handling package is not cross shopped with a much more expensive Hellcat. Right now the ZL1 is the only competitor for the bad kitty. Not sure if the GT350 will be cross shopped with the Hellcat. However the GT350 is a more interesting car. I wonder though how popular it wil be once the newness wears off.

I know 5 1LE owners here in Michigan and we all track our cars.....but I am sure that the majority do not.

Again?!??! please do tell us more about that beast how was it to drive?
I have been VERY FORTUNATE many times in my 49 years, I have owned Ferrari 348TB, 355 spider (both all black), 360 (yellow), Lamborghini Diablo (should have kept for the $$$$), Lotus Esprit v8 TT (most comfortable by far), A vairiety of Porsche, 3 vettes (wife has a 2009 z06 track car still), Gt500....I sure I am missing quite a few.....But anyway, the only 2 I would own and track are the 348 and the 360. Both were incredible cars and there is nothing that sounds like a Ferrari under high RPM, I always used to kid everyone that this sound is what is used on all movies when fast cars are racing. The 348 is a SUPER DEPENDABLE (I put 84k miles on it!!!!!!!!!) car, that was pretty easy to work on too....all of the Ferrari magic vodoo stuff is just that, voodoo. The 360 is the world's best car IMHO. It is fast, it handles, it is pretty comfortable, is pretty good on maintenance cost, very dependable, and the most beautiful car ever made (to me). I put 24k trouble free miles on it and would do it again tomorrow. It was a fast track car too, probably not as fast as the 1LE (but it didn't have 1000 nannies to save you either....so), but mid engine cars can be squirrelly, in an instant. The Diablo is a useless car except for tearing up the freeway, it has no manners for city driving (I lived in Vegas at the time) and I would take the 348 instead of it. Well done rambling, but in the end...The 360 is the only car I would probably trade for, but I am waiting for the GT350....So that could change. Hellcat? Hellno.

Personally, if I were to buy one, the first thing I would do it remove the ugly black vinyl hood wrap, as I think it makes the car look cheap. Not a big fan of the black wheels, either, but I could at least live with them.
I would hope that someone like you wouldn't get a 1LE, buy something you like. I selected black rims when I was building a Camaro and the 1LE package appeared. After further research, I had to have one and I wouldn't change a thing with the package.

The wrap cuts down on glare.

LOL, you're going to make the case that your $38k Camaro is better than a 700 HP Hellcat, and you call someone else uninformed? LMAO

And, oh yea, to assume you know the poster is "uninformed" is an insult.

Man, people sure do have blinders on when talking about the car they own!
