Does trading in my car to the dealer with only one key hurt value?
Does trading in my car to the dealer with only one key hurt value?
Not because I lost it. I want to keep it as it is the key to my first car. (Dealer does not need to know why) I never have traded in a car (first car remember). Does it hurt value? |

It will take about 50% off the Blue Book Trade Value.

I wouldn't think so, they can replace the key for practically nothing.

They only need a one key.
I've kept every spare key to my car that I've traded / sold - And they haven't asked for it either. And no it does not hurt value for these mass produced car

Fantasyland. It still costs something to make and program a key for a car like the Camaro. If it's a GM dealer they do it for their own cost, which is in theory, less than you'd pay retail, but it still costs something.
