Imagine the reactions you'd get if you were driving a really expensive car.

I do love some good maple syrup, I get mine locally from a friend who harvests it from his own property, SO much better than anything at the store I think I might have pancakes for dinner now lol.

You can apply the same logic to anything though, the simple answer is different strokes for different folks. Personally I'd probably take a hellcat charger over a hellcat challenger if I had the choice, I'm not a huge fan of the styling behind the Challenger so Id rather spring for the 4 doors and more backseat, especially with having a little one.

Isn't it great to be a big guy? I have been told the same thing. So far no one has said anything negative about my car or me where I could hear them, but I take criticism well. I don't care what people think of me or my car. Everyone has a right to their own opinion.

I tend to get the "Enjoy dad's car!" from the typical excessively-tattooed and trashy teenagers (who drive sweet 90's Altimas and Accords), but they only say it when I'm driving away. I generally respond with, "Enjoy your next welfare check!"

OP- enjoy your new car. I bought my first one at 21. I'm 30 new cars into this and age 62.

You'll be in for a lifetime of exposure to idiots and dumb ass comments.

This is just a practice run, trust me.

I agree with most people here. The most trash talking and goofy comments come from idiot kids in clapped out, 15 year old base model cars with fart cans. Most people with nice cars that are well taken care of seem to have a similar attitude as me. I don't go around trash talking guys in exotics, regardless of age. Although the smugness that usually spews from the interior of exotics and the pricks driving them is enough to choke you.

I grew a kickass beard. Now people think I'm older than I am. When I was babyfaced people gave me shit about "your dad's car" all the time.

Stay cool as they idiots taunt you. You'll always have the last laugh as you go thru life. Been there, and I'm enjoying the payoff of a lifetime of hard work.
And the clowns that looked older when they were young, now look like they are either plastic surgery mifits or dried up prunes...again, the last laugh!

You have very good control over your emotions. I'm thinking a good ass-whippin' was in order for that dude.

Enjoy your car. Love your car. Respect it and others on the road... and f*#k those who trash you. They're just jealous.

People always ask me if my Camaro is my dads car, which gets me pissed. I'd be lucky to get my dads car :/ CLS 63 AMG.

People are jerks its just that simple. Once when I was driving home from work (heading south on 101) some guy in an Altima ahead of me chucked a full soda can out his window....... he and I are both lucky it did not hit my car.
