While the side splitter kit is awesome in the CF, I'm not feeling it only because it almost looks like a running board. But that is just my opinion.
But - you've done a fantastic job on the car and what you like and what others like is not always going to be the same. Nice work and that is definitely a car to be very proud of!

What tires did you switch to? The 2lbs lost may have been from switching tires. Doesn't the ZL1 come with run flats? Switching to non run flats can save weight.

No the Goodyears are not run flat.I weighed the rims after rims were painted and assembly to compare rim weight to factory then had tires mounted and weighed rim tire combo the tires I went with are toyo R888 and they weigh the same as goodyears so the weight saving is in the rims what is wrong with 3 piece rims they are way stronger than the factory cast wheels

There is a difference between quality and strength. If by quality you mean the finish and attention to detail, then you are probably right -- HRE is probably higher quality. As for strength, I'm pretty sure 3 piece wheels are not going to be as strong as the factory forged wheels.

HREs are forged also why do most high end magazine cars from imports to muscle cars run 3 piece rims you don't see them running stock rims I just wanted to be different there is nothing wrong with factory ZL1 wheels tires are another story

HREs are forged, but when you have 2 or 3 pieces that are forged and then bolted together, it's not the same as one solid forged piece. That doesn't mean a 2 or 3 piece wheel can't be strong. Magazine cars are usually going for style, like a show car, strength isn't a priority. Anyway, it's silly to argue about this -- if you like your wheels, don't listen to me or others that have a different preference... I didn't want to start a debate, just pointing out the difference between multi-piece and solid-forged wheels since it seemed like there was some misunderstanding. Congrats -- I do really like the front and side splitters.

Little tip I've learned over the years; If you really like your car and you are sure of your mod and cosmetic choices, don't ask others for an opinion or look for approval. You may find a few (or more than a few) people that will not agree with your choices, and some that will be less diplomatic about telling you their opinion. You are the only one that has to like what you are driving, and other people's opinion about your car decisions don't matter.
I'd only ask for an opinion if I was unsure about a mod choice (hopefully before committing to it) and/or an exterior trim change, wheel change etc.
