The story of how Jalopnik reunited Papa John with his Camaro and a reader won $25,000:

As we first reported yesterday, pizza magnate Papa John Schnatter has been reunited with his Camaro. This is the story of how Jalopnik made it happen.

The story really begins in 1983, when Papa John Schnatter's father was on the verge of closing his tavern because of a bankruptcy. Faced with few choices, Papa John sold the only asset he had to his name: A Bumblebee-striped black-and-gold 1971½ Chevy Camaro Z28. More

I wonder if they could reunite me with me 86.

Of course, its probably not anything like it was when I gave it up. I had the distinct impression that the guy that bought it wanted to strip it down and make a drag beast out of it.

Sure! Just fork out $275,000 and I am sure they will find your old car - which is STILL sitting in the garage of the guy you sold it to half stripped down since he ran out of time and money to finish the drag car.
