Exhaust question?

I have a 2013 v6 that I'm getting ready to trade in. When I had my stock exhaust put back on the muffler shop put a 2 inch pipe inside where it was cut instead of a sleeve outside, and welded it. Will the extra back pressure do any harm(making this section 2 inch instead of 2 1/4)?

Thanks

I'm no exhaust expert, but I doubt it will hurt anything. Someone here will answer for sure.

I just didn't know if it would create too much back pressure from necking it down to 2 inch.

I asked why he didn't put a sleeve on the outside instead to keep the pipe diameter the same and he said he was trying to make it unnoticeable for when I traded it in.

Thanks! I realize I'm trading it in next month, but I wouldn't want to cause the future owner any problems.
If I found out it was harmful I would have had it redone.

Thanks. It would have bothered me if I hadn't found out.
