Sorry to see that Rick. Are the 2013 wheel rims much different from the original style,at the edges? It seems amazing to me, that with the amount of banding actually hidden between the tyre and rim, being pressed with quite a hefty force of tyre pressure, that they can shift so much. Have you noticed a loss in tyre pressures?

Seems like a real headache for such a simple mod IMO.

Is there any kind of adhesive that could be used?

James - they were well cleaned up before reinstalling and totally dry, rim, tyre and band. I haven't noticed the 40 mph bit but that must be for the stick ons. I have to say that Darren has been fantastic and is genuinely trying to help. He offered a refund straight away. He has also said that there's a different type being released mid Feb which he believes will fit fine.

Tim - I couldn't believe it either. I can't pull them out - even where they are hanging out. No pressure loss so it must still be sealing under the pressure even where it's at the popping out point. Customer service is first class and I'm sure it will get sorted somehow. Hope so coz I really like the look of them.

Not sure about the adhesive on this type. Got a feeling that the new style will still hook over the rim (rather than face mounted like the Rimblades) but will also be stuck. With the spoke arrangement and the geometry of my wheels there's no way to have the face mounted Rimblades.

Wow never saw anything like that. Is it just to protect the rim edge and make it look a little prettier?

Yes, exactly that. I scuffed a wheel so was looking for something to cover the damage and prevent it happening again. Having fitted them it's as much to enhance the look of the wheel.

Yes, using Rimblades rather than Rimbands. They stick on so you fit them yourself although mine got pretty much mullered when I had new tyres fitted. 😔

The Rimbands should work perfectly if you can find a tyre fitter with experience of them.
