Have my ZL1 VIN

On 5/14, I was at 3400 Status, with a TPW of 5/18. I just checked in on the Chevy website on the Click to Chat function, put in my Order # and was told the car is built and they provided the VIN number. When I asked if that was equivalent to Event Code 3800, I was told I was actually at 4300 status where the car has been moved from the plant to an off location area where it will be loaded onto a carrier for transport.

Is it typical for the car to be built and then brought to the location where it will be ultimately loaded onto a carrier during the same day? I do realize that the car can sit in that area for a considerable time before it is actually loaded onto the carrier for transport.

Thanks,
Ken

They also send the cars to vendors for stripes etc.

Consider your self lucky if it is ready for transport. After mine was built it was there for a month before it shipped. There were others in the same boat I was in also and it liked to wore us out waiting.

Congrats, I have the same TPW and hopefully its not long for you. I know that the oshawa plant has a rail yard attached so I don't think its unusual to have it at the shipping yard in the same day.
