Disapointed

I`m a little disapointed that the 6th gen is not a whole new look. This looks like a refresh of the refresh yes new platform but looks the same. As with other gererations the car was a complete change in look. 5th`s dont look like 4th`s 4th`s dont look like 3rd`s 3rd`s dont look like 2nd`s and 2nd`s dont look like 1st gens.So I`m glad I didn`t wait on the 6th gen and got my 13 cream of the crop year IMO. Looks like I1ll be waiting on the 7th gen.

I'll keep my 2010. The 6th gen exterior doesn't do it for me at all. That front end looks too futuristic and looks like the new 2015 Camry which is fine for the Camry but not the Camaro.

No as I stated in a few threads I think the 6gen broke from the Camaro bloodline and my 13 is still kin to the original. And it looks a lot better than the 16. To me the 16 has that Asian-Euro auto type of look.

Keeping my 5th Gen, 2SS/RS....... The 6th Gen interior and Gauge panel looks too 4th Gen to me. Besides the 5th Gen is a throwback to the 1st Gen for looks both in and out IMO.

I like the looks of the 6th gen well enough and I love some of the spec changes, but the gen 5 is paid for and I've got a set of headers waiting on a free weekend for installation. Also mine's a 2010, and I was a little bummed when I heard about some of the features they added in the 11+ (OnStar android app, upgraded suspension, backup camera, etc...) so I'll be waiting at least a year or two before I think about trading so I can see what late breaking additions materialize.

I really like the new Camaro and want one. But I'm not going to get one. Not unless I win the lottery or something. I struggle now justifying driving my SS to work and trying to keep it nice. My Camaro is paid off, it's 3 years old and it's getting easier for me to drive it and enjoy it without worrying about every little rock chip, or anything else. Best thing for me to do is to drive it, enjoy it, use it for transportation. Spending the big money buying a new one and using it like a car should be used is too stressful.

i love the cool features of the 6th gen and the interior is sweet, but to me the early 5th gen with are the best looking and more retro, and the ZL1 front end is perfection to me. im just not a fan of the smaller upper grill on the later 5th gens and the new 6th gen. ill be sticking with my 2010.

Just curious, what was it that made you change your mind?

The Gen 6 moved towards the rest of the Chevy lineup rather than set itself apart from it. The Gen 5 resurrected the brand and it screamed Camaro. Chevy nailed it.

Some of the specs i'm seeing about the '16 online still say "6.2 L LT1 with cylinder deactivation"...Do all the SS have the variable displacement? or just the auto cars?. This would be a deal breaker for me.

Thumbs down

WOW!!! The soap boxes are really high in this thread...

Some Camaro owners really make me despise owning one sometimes, and there seems to be quite a few here...

All hail the 5th gen

It's a better car in every respect. It will be lighter, handle better and has more power. The interior is also much nicer, as are the associated electronic toys. That said, I like the 5th gen better. Doesn't make sense, does it?
