Congratulations J, you are absolutely going to love driving this car. I can't wait to see an IBM in person

I have a few questions. I was reading about oil changes really improving performance. Between driving it back from Texas and driving it to OKC to get the window tinting done this weekend I'm sitting at 1200 miles. People on this forum mentioned changing their oil as soon as 500 miles and noticing a performance difference. I am going to get the oil changed, and despite all the talk about Royal Purple being so great I think I'm going to stick with Mobil 1.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good shop to have that done at? Also, a question for the Wichita Dyno guys, is there a benefit to having an A6 Camaro tuned by someone even though I don't plan on racing at all? Forgive me of my ignorance on the "tuning" issue, but I'd love for you to educate me on it

Thanks! And congrats again J, keep up posted on how your car is coming along

Yup, you def need to get that oil changed! I just changed mine for the first time and im at about 380 miles.. then i'll do it again at 1,000.

Hmm places to do it.. you could always have dealership do it because they'd be held reliable if anything was wrong.. like wrong oil?
OORR... My Garage... lol thats where everything on my car will be done.
Shoot for 5 bucks and you buy the filter & 8 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w 30 and i'll come to you and do it!

Tune = warranty voided... just as an FYI.

Just a quick shout out to my fellow Kansan Camaro Lovers. Here's a couple of pix of our CGM with metallic silver stripes. We bought the Camaro at Parks in Augusta and had the stripes painted up in Lyons.

I look forward to seeing you adding class, style, & HP to the streets of Wichita!
