Wouldn't it make the ZL1's price go up " on the older model ZL1's" if they decide not to make the ZL1?

I'll search for it.
FWIW, FenwickHockey65 is the one that notified me about it. And he told me about both the correct day and location both the ZL1 and Z/28 reveals months in advance... So I tend to take his word for stuff with corporate GM. Believe what you want. |

I know it was to be called the Z28 to begin with after GM finished building the car the Z28 name didn't fit. The ZL1 badge was brought back to better fit this car....which is the baddest camaro on the street. The Z28 was just too small a name for such a awesome piece of machinery.

Soooo, which model gets the CCM brakes? Or DSSV shocks?
2 years of development for a couple thousand cars? What a waste. Of both technology and knowledge gained.

i think theyll release a reconfigured lt4 not a detuned version to better fit the weight handling and other differences...itll end up with less power for that reason and basically take the throne of the zl1. also, HP dont mean nothing when you weigh significantly less an handle better.
i think the 1le is already kinda here with the SS and magnetic ride options to a certain degree. but making recaros an option and a rim/tire package is simple for them so i expect a 1le type model. the z/28...probly toast now. or maybe an upgraded zl1 or 1le option to fit the bill? hard to believe the z/28 will return. can you imagine if they designed a whole new engine for this gen though? LT7? lol...cafe regs probly ruin it too

To be honest I'd be ecstatic if they just put the current LSA into the Gen6 body with the CTS-V drivetrain. Especially if they go forged internals. That would be a dream.

Naw the Zl1 badge will be retired with the 5th gen. Overflow is on to something. The 6th gen will need at least a 700 hp stripped version for me to even consider it. Something like the current Z28 with LSA power levels(at least) with the magnetic ride to make the car a little more street usable. I dont need all that techie stuff, nav, electric e brake, push button start, my link, electric seats, heated steering wheel.

I just posted on another thread about the 1LE...as being just a 3rd and 5th gen RPO...
But reading here, yes there was a 4th gen, but if you look at how theyre selling and what was on them theyre never going to be worth more than a typical SS (the 4th gens I mean) Looks for a 1LE third gen (especially a non B4C car as in a cop car which all where 1LE with autos in em) those go for BIG bucks for a 3rd gen. So my bet is that IF the 1LE comes back, it wont be anything as spectacular compared to the regular SS, not like the departure the 1LE is now for a regular SS 5th gen
