Repairing/Repainting 1le Splitter
Hey there!
It seems that i came in to hard and wide and clipped a low curb. In the process of repairing the tab that broke on the splitter with some epoxy, but now i also need to buff out the small scratches i made. I got varying grit of sandpaper/blocks and sanded the area smooth. They are now smoothed out but lighter in color. the question is how do i refinish the paint to match the rest of the splitter? There was a pretty detailed post on some facebook page but damn i can find it. Once the epoxy cures, i will be able to 3m tape it to the car, just need to clean up the other blemish! Thanks in advance. Any questions please ask!

It wasn't that bad . Not to opposed to buying a new one of needed. Considered an after market but naw...oem. posted in general can't imagine this hasn't happened to anyone else and curious how to fix.

The splitter is not painted just plastic. You might just be better off replacing it.

Mine was replaced by the dealer. It came unpainted, and they painted it satin black. That is not how everyone's was?

Mine was definitely "painted". Not sure how well it was done, some of it came off when I was using the car wash sprayer on it. I was inches away though with the wand trying to get a bug off..
Here's the result, it's not that noticeable but I'll also be interested if you find a fix.

Just give it to me and buy a new one. I'll take it off your hands for you since it's more trouble than it's worth trying to fix it.
