Maximum Driveway Incline
My 2015 ZL1(BVM) that I ordered last January is finally due to be delivered in June. I'm building it a new garage and I need to know the maximum incline for the driveway that will allow safe clearance without installing the spring spacers every time I drive it. Has anyone dealt with this?

I don't know the max incline but I have to pull in to my driveway at an angle so the splitter does not hit.

Isn't that determined by your local city ordinance? I think you are worrying about something that isn't a big deal, especially since you don't have the car yet. Most owners with steep driveways such as myself back in at an angle, or approach from the front at an angle. That technique will be used anyway when you get the car and drive it around anywhere and have to enter a driveway or you will scrape the front diffuser. |

Thanks for the feedback. I am trying to build the garage and drive before I take delivery on the car. I appreciate you input.

I have an idea for you. I just bought a pair of Race Ramps, 67 inch ones. They have a particular angle that is published on their website, which is 10.8 degrees. I would say that you would be safe at ~ 11 degrees or less based on the fact that my car goes up these with no rubbing issues. Or look at there website and it tells how to measure you specific car for angle and use that calculation!

you might as well just find a steep incline and get it over its going to happen. its a badge of honor. if you trailer it to race or any speed bumps its just a matter of time. they do make an attachment that fits on the bolts that shield the splitter some what. good luck they are at zl1 addons.com, splitter guards

I have never "bumped" my splitter, but over a particularly high "private lot speed bump" I did rip off the plastic protector on the passenger underneath (not sure if it is for fuel or brake lines)
