I have never in my life, raced the quarter mile. This should be interesting to see just how incompetent I am. Needless to say my expectations are somewhat low. I still want to get my LNC-2000 2 step installed, along with the CAI and BAP, before I get to the track, cant decide if I want to put a line lock kit on the car.

Well I ordered the SMJ line lock kit, and my LNC-2000 today. Deciding on the fuel setup now, either larger lines or BAP. Once that's all decided on. It will be time to install all the goodies and get it tuned again. There is a guy close to me that I have been talking to and I am thinking of letting his shop tune my car, they will be doing the ZL1 rear end install and they have both a Dynojet and Mustang dyno, so it makes sense, just not wild about letting someone other than Matt tune on the car.

Got the DR's put on the car and obviously I'm much happier, I haven't nailed it yet, I need a new O2 sensor for my gauge and cant data log, so I'll wait till its done with the body work and sensor to see just how the tires will help, but so far its made a big difference in traction.

Dropped the car off at the body shop this morning, Having some old damage repaired so I can start going to some car shows. Perfect timing too, I curb rashed my right rear newly acquired CEC wheels at McDonalds the other day....should have it back on Friday, of this week. The Mickey Thompson tires I bought were an excellent choice. Not only can I get into the throttle, I can hold it WOT and she sticks. Thinking of just running on the twenties at the track for a bit, I am about spent out for a while. Since I have had the car I have never been WOT all thru one to fouth gear. Holy sh!t it happens fast and pulls hard.

Going with a BAP and not larger fuel lines, I was pretty much chastised for my decision by a buy who does a lot of f-body's, he is convinced that I need to change out my lines and not do a BAP. I'm not into arguing with him, and am still waiting on his pricing for doing my rear end install. So needless to say, I am going in a different direction.

Spoke with one of the dealerships in town and they have a tech at the shop who does work on sprint cars in his off time, they said they would love to do the work. So once the line lock, LNC-2000, AGP CAI and second meth nozzle are installed, Im going back on the same dyno I had it on before when I did some remote tuning with Matt. Going to turn up the boost, and let him tune if from florida. I like the idea of keeping him with the car, hes taken such good care of me, I would feel funny about letting someone else touch it.

Got the car back from the body shop last week, Steve did a great job, as an ex painters helper in a body shop, I can pick a car apart and I had a hard time finding fault with any of his work. He touched up my wheel too!!

I installed my ECS BAP, and its not working, talked to Matt, we went over every detail of my install, and both of us are pretty much drawing a blank as to why its not working. Next step is to contact ECS. Being sunday, I don't expect to hear from them till late tomorrow.

Got my LNC-2000 installed today. Not before I broke my clutch pedal position sensor trying to remove the plug.....Had to take it in to the dealer for the repair, could have managed it by myself, yet some things are worth paying for. The whole damn pedal assy has to come out, and I just didn't feel like messing with it. The bad thing is the car wouldn't start because the car thought the clutch pedal wasn't pushed in, so I had to call a tow truck, took me about 45 min to realize I could just change the option for the PCM to disregard the clutch position in order to start, so after a quick connect with HPT, I was driving myself instead of towing it. The good news is the part was only like 6 bucks, bad news was the labor was like 3 hours!! LOL Anyway, still trying to determine the optimal amount of retard to build boost, I'm a little retarded when it comes to the "how and why" things work with 2 steps. However I did get get it installed and set the way I wanted it. Its off till I push in the clutch, then its set at whatever RPM's I want to limit. I can no lift shift now without loosing too much boost and that is pretty cool! Going to post pics of the car with the new body work finished and then a video of the 2 step at night...lol Should be pretty cool.

My ZL1 rear end pumpkin came in this last Wednesday from Hawks Third Gen, waiting on the rest of the parts from HE, then its off to the dealership for the install. Hoping to have it taken into the dealership the first of the month. The service manager is excited to be getting my car into the shop. That means a lot to me, considering most people that like what they work on, do a decent job while working on it.

Got the ECS BAP working, only problem is that its not strong enough to get my FP where I want it. Just put a deposit down on a MSD 2351 Programmable BAP, I should be in good shape after I install that. I am expecting to receive that the first week in June, I bought it new from a member here on C5.

I did however manage to get my second meth nozzle installed. Matt is doing the remote tuning on it now, at the rate he is going we should have it dialed in soon. Working on taking some video of the car, while accelerating, and with the two step active, more will come.

I am an excitement junkie, there always has to be something!

After the rear end, BAP and Line lock, its off to the dyno to turn up the boost. First I'll have some fun at the track. Shame I just got my SJM line lock in last week, and I lost all of the parts, with the exception of the actual solenoid and hydraulic lines, Cant remember where I put the damn, activation switch, LED and a few other things! I would hate to have to reorder all the little stuff.

Fuel lines are not needed until ~1000hp unless you are doing e85. Pump the stock line can support big power.

Nice mods. Remote tuning through matt is a good idea.

And I agree, would never drive another 500+rwhp car with out full time drag radials, or at least r888s.

Here is a Video of the two step I took yesterday, still need to get the settings dialed in, like amount of retard and build time, but this is what its like now.
