In that thread, the Vitesse rep told you the reason for your trouble - "Incompatibility somewhere: Vararam Intake + BBK 102mm Throttle Body + Vitesse Controller + Jet Chip Air Flow sensor."

To me, that is a reasonable explanation. Yet you continue to knock the product. Which is ok, maybe you just hate Vitesse or something... but people come here to get good info.... you should be straight up with people who are asking about using the VTC on a car without all of your mods.
Ok let me get this straight. I loved this product when it didn't cause problems. This car is my daily and I had alot of fun with it one. I am not the only who has problems. But maybe its just not compatible with my mods for some reason. And I THOUGHT(key word) I had a loose wire, until I pushed the throttle body cable in more when I was showing the service advisor which was causing ONLY p1516 not the other code( p2???) and rep. Why don't you go back and read on it some more. And if you want to be straight up they told me that I couldn't go higher than sp5. What's the point of having other options for sensitivity if you can't use them all? I already sent it back and got a refund. Maybe in the the future of they fix the bugs, I will buy another. The vtc rep told me they were doing some tweaks to it and that was last week. You have your opinion and so do I. No problems since taking off the vtc and finding the cause of the p1516 code.

The controller causes a CEL one time and put engine in limp mode. Ran scan and got a code having to do with electronic pedal. I unplugged when i got home and replugged back in and no problems since. I can definitly feel the throttle difference.

I keep talking myself into & out of getting this thing. I really wonder with my mods & HP dyno tune if it would even make that much of a difference.

And void your warranty... your choice. Plus, I question whether it's "better" or not - have heard differing opinions.

Has anyone gone for warranty repairs related to reduced engine power with the VTC still installed. was it noticed? If noticed did warranty still fix the issue?

I'm trying to lay low with my issue to give Ahmed a chance to work it out, and wanting to be sensitive to his reputation, however I hate to see people getting shot down here because other people have no problems with it. I bought one and within a day of installation starting getting P2138 (my post here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=407989) and REP mode.

I've worked with Ahmed (great guy, great support) and here are a few snippets from our emails, just to lend some credibility to kris above and others that there is an issue they are looking in to:

May 13th
---------
Me: I recalibrated (I'm consistent .4 low and 2.1 high if that matters), but still wouldn't start normal.
VTC(Ahmed): We're talking to our engineer and he says the voltage you are getting while calibrated is kind of low for the Controller to function properly ( Needs a little more power from the voltage given ).Give me some time to try to resolve this for you. I will ask to keep this unit until I have some new ones we are testing out that will require a separate power plug. Looks like some newer cars are not giving enough voltage through the Gas pedal. Since yours is a 2015. Could be a difference from previous years.

May 27th
---------
VTC(Ahmed): Hello Dan, sorry for the long wait. I am finishing up a new updated board this afternoon I've being working on it the past weeks. Please confirm the address is correct where I will ship it to you:

I really was hoping to keep working with Ahmed and then report back with a solution/answer, but thought it might be helpful for some to see there might be an actual issue that effects some.

Dan

I know you like getting the max out of your car, Ruby... so all I can say is "try it". If you don't like it within 30 days, you can send it back for a full refund. I think you'll be amazed at the increased response.

I have said it before I was skeptical at first but I decided to try it out and I am very pleased by it. I have a Jannetty tune as well and I can't believe I went years without this VTC. I'm running SP7 on a daily basis and it's a blast.

Sucks some are having issues, it goes with any kind of products on the market they have their problems. Hopefully everyone gets it corrected.

Dan, I am getting different codes than you and also getting 2.1 volt at 100% pedal. Ahmed is looking at this too as I think it should be 5 volt @ 100%

I've had mine on for at least a couple months now. Also have a PTB. Keep it on SP9. Love it.

I'm just curious, but when you learned that the harness wasn't completely in and fixed that issue, why didn't you at least try to reinstall the VTC and recalibrate. I would be almost certain that if the harness was loose enough to throw a code, it would've also affected the calibration of the VTC which might be what caused the other code. i'd almost be willing to bet that if you had put it back on, it would've worked fine at that point. But of course that's my opinion and reserve the right to be wrong.

There's no interaction with the ECM. The VTC simply controls/amplifies the voltage signal sent to the TB.
