lakefront meets
For the past few weekends I've been heading out to the lakefront to meet up with with other car guys/gals. Here's a few pictures of the meets. It's kinda funny how the progression starts with these things. For the first week it was just me, for the second there was two of us and now there's four (next week, eight?!?). While parked on the side of Lakeshore Dr there were quite a few 5th gens rolling around but no one ever stops in to say hi.
I'm usually there from 11 till 2 on sundays if the weather is nice. |

Hey, I been going the last few weeks...sometimes to meet up with some people from work who also go. I have a Red ZL1 I just bought last week and a Black '68 SS I been having for about five years. Where exactly do you park at? I will stop by and introduce myself. Mike here.

This past weekend I did see a red ZL1 with his hood popped along side a mustang that was close to Landry's. Was that you? I'm usually across or near Shelter #1, that's the shelter closest to Landry's. If there's allot of kids around, I usually park across the way on the lake side. The only down side to that is the lack of shade at that time of day.

Yep, that was me....the mustang belongs to a guy from work. My other co-worker has a 85 Iroc Z Camaro but he didn't come out Sunday.

I passed through around 10:50 for about 20 minutes and then left when I saw the rain on the radar west of the city. Funny thing, the it rained its butt off 5 minutes after putting her back in the garage but it didn't rain in the city till later that evening. If I would have stuck it out, I could have met with you and avoided the rain

Oh, ok....was wondering what happened. I'm doing a total detail on mine this weekend and doubt I will be done early enough for Sunday morning. Got lots to do with it to get it up to my standards......washing, clay bar, swirl remover, polish, paint sealant on Saturday. Sealant needs 24hrs to cure, then Sunday glaze and wax so got my work cut out. Using Adam's products and a porter cable. I got the older sealant, the new formula doesn't need 24 hours to cure but I got a garage to keep it inside till it's totally done. The '68 will have to sit outside till I finish it.
