I had a similar situation, but I started with the dynatech cat back exhaust, which just has a pipe within a pipe located where the factory resonator is. After cam install it was way too loud. I added 2 Borla Sportsman mufflers behind the rear axle and it quieted it down to a reasonable loudness. Not quiet, but not eardrum piercing loud. The problem with "reasonable loudness" is that it is highly subjective in nature.

Do u have a video of dynatech catback on your car? I was thinking about getting that same one but there's barely an videos of it.

Here is a sound clip of the car before adding the Borla mufflers. The guys at Vengeance said it was the best sounding Camaro they had in the shop prior to the date of this clip, which was July 2013.

Jannetty also had posted a video of another car with the Dynatech exhaust, but I can't find it.

Mine is cammed, not night fury though, and I am running 1 7/8 long tubes and currently running stock cat back. Personally I think its pretty loud with stock cat back. I see youre in CR so if you want to hear what a stock cat back sounds like with the cam let me know.

appreciate the offer but I am past the point of stock cat-back as my oem mufflers are long gone. just looking for a decent old school sound axle back if there is such a thing as the horsepower versus $$$ difference of a cat-back isn't a good exchange. the extra $$ could be better spent on another upgrade that will yield more power

I had the sane problem after my cam and headers were installed. A Magnaflow resonated X pipe took care of it for me.
