CGM at Home in Kansas
First, we want to extend our utmost
to the Camaro5 Nation for enhancing our first Camaro ownership experience. We're addicted to this site for information, entertainment, and ideas. We LOVE the car and being part of the Camaro family makes it even more special.Second, our sincerest appreciation to RumbleBeeSS for unselfishly sharing, in great detail, the specs on his stripes. With some modifications, we "borrowed" his vision for our baby and couldn't be happier with the look of the stripes. Finally, without any further (sappy) ado, here's a couple pix of the final product. Although the pix don't show it very well, the metallic stripes really pop next to the CGM. THANKS to all and make it a great Camaro day !

Congratulations! I can't wait to see her on the streets of Wichita! On my drive into work this morning a spotted a SIM on Eastbound Kellogg, I caught up with the driver and had to wave at her
Right beside her and in front of me was a white Porsche and the guy driving it kept revving his engine at us. I was on his tail with the SIM on my left, it was a great start to the morning ![]() Oh, and check out the local post: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12274. That's where all the fellow Camaro5 Kansas members stay in touch ![]() Cheers!

The most fun I've had so far was picking up my middle schooler. His classmates were having a blast taking pix with their cell phones and calling other buddies to come take a look. Congrats to you for "rescuing" your red beauty from Texas. |

Thanks. The stripes were painted at Linden Rebuilding in Lyons, Kansas. His shop would remind you of Cooter's Garage from the Dukes of Hazard, but his work is amazing
. The pix don't show how good the metallic stripes match the CGM paint.

At the request of a fellow member, here are a couple of additional pix and some dimensions on the stripes. Note: The 1/4" trim stripe is included in the dimensions.
Thanks again to RumbleBeeSS for providing the starting design for this stripe scheme. His information can be found on this site at: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24114 Rear Deck: Stripes are a consistent 8" apart from front to back. The stripes are a consistent 15" wide. The outside of the stripes are approximately 1.75" from the front corners of the deck. The stripes extend 1.5" below the spoiler. Hood: Stripes are 8" apart at back edge and 7.25" apart at front edge. The outside of the stripes are approximately 13" from the rear corners of the hood. The stripe width at the rear is too hard to determine because of the cowl. The outside of the stripes follow the top edges of the cowl. The stripes are 14.5" wide when measured along the front edge of the hood. Front Fascia: The front edge of the stripes are 0.75" from the top front corner of the fascia and follow the curve on the nose. I hope some of you find this helpful. |

BEAUTIFUL! I am so jonsing for my CGM now! I plan on painting on the SIM stripes as well in bumblebee format and love the more squared look of many of these where I notice that some of the vinyl bumblebees are a bit more curved on the outside edge. Purely aesthetic; some prefer them to follow the curve of the outside hood, while these look nice a straight. Love them. Thanks for posting the follow up pics. I was just about to email for more.
