I don't remember my exact number offhand on registration and dealer fees, but I know for certain the sales tax on a vehicle purchase in Texas is 6.25%, and will be the bulk of your total TT&L cost

This site was pretty damn close to my final numbers. I think the total was off by like $15-$20 and the monthly payment was pretty much right on, plus or minus a dime or two.

6.25 % of sales price after trade in valued amount is subtracted. 28 for the title about 48 for registration. 28 for 2 year inspection. And no more than 50 documentation fees. 5 for e-tags. Should just about cover it.

You have state fees that are normally around 140-150, 50.00 doc fees, state tax @ 6.25% and a vci tax which is usually around .23800. I work as a finance manager, these are pretty close

Figure right at 6% so my loan officer told me. That is on the amount of the car - MINUS any trade in amount.
