anodizing is only microns deep and is subject to wear, UV damage and chemical attack, if it is not "architectural" grade......my guess is that these are cheap made in china replicas of something expensive ie. fakes.....I have several patents in protective coatings and have seen this too many times.

Over $4000 for wheels? I know thats not uncommon, but they better stay black for that cash. Lol.

Anodize never lasts in the sun, any color except "hard anodizing" will fade.
Blue and red fade the fastest, followed by black. Once you can't take it any more I'd suggest powdercoating.

Okay also these are Breyton spirit rs wheels anyway to tell the difference between real wheels and replicas? Because I would have hate to been sold replicas paying for name brand

Yeah, if they aren't forged they are fake. You paid a forged wheel price and no fake knock off would be a forged wheel, they would be cast and worth less than $1000 for the set.

And the crappy thing is I traded him my factory zl1 wheels plus $1500 cash. And on fire rack they look like they go for about $400 a pair so did I just get ripped off?
