when i call csx when the computer tells me no info avaiable i have come to the conclusion that it is in transit between rail yards. anybody else think this?

my salesman just called me to tell me the car is shipped.

i laughed and told him where have you been? I knew that since 800 this morning. I could here his face fall over the phone that he was not the first to deliver this information. These dealers are just clueless. Maybe they dont believe in the power of the internet.

no I mean the rail yard where they will put it on a truck to be delivered to your dealer.

try to manually input your car number..
I found that the automated computer sucks at registering exactly what you tell it..
I would speak it and it would say no status.. then I would hang up, and call right back and manually input the car and it would tell me where it was at.

yeah now i have done it both way the last time it said no info avaiable and this time its still at the toronto yard as of 1140am

I called my dealer to ask him what location they would truck my car from and what rail carrier it would arrive on. He said he wasn't sure and it sounded like I knew more about what was going on then he did. He also seemed clueless. Still stuck in Toronto and discovered I wrote down the wrong car # so it will not be on a truck Sept. 2nd.

Yeah..... my car is sitting in the Toronto yard since last night at 11:12.

I tried checking to see if my car had maybe moved on to the U P train system & the automated system won't take my number.. it's asking for how many pieces of "equipement" & what the "equipement number is & states that it must have initials & #'s ... as in U P xxxxx" .

I don't have a U P # I have an ETTX #. Do the rail car numbers change when the rail company changes?

The CSX number I keep calling also says something I don't understand... it says it arrived last night on "CN". Does anyone know what THAT means? I thought maybe it meant Canandian National... so I found a number for them & the prompts there don't go anywhere with my number. ???????????????????

Oh my gosh......... I thought this would be the easy part......... its HARD!!

how do you find out where the rail yard is and where they drop your car off?

you wrote down the wrong rail car #? how did you know this far in advance about the truck info? (even if it wasnt the right one?) Im stuck in toronto too i wonder if we are on the same train.

Mine is on a rail car (ETTX906943) and was shipped 8/21. Its now in interchange in Salem Illinois. Any idea when it might get to Arlington, TX??

I am assuming we will have to wait until camaro tracking indicates if the rail car is transferred to another rail carrier. At that point we will have to hunt down which carrier has it. I looked at some maps and it could be one of three carriers for me as I am uncertain where it will be trucked from.
