Hey all, recently purchased a 2015 1LT RS Camaro stick shift and was wondering about switching out my shifter knob. I've read elsewhere that once you pull off the bolts holding the boot down you simply yank the knob straight up and it pops off, but when I tried it seemed like it required WAY too much force and I really don't wanna break it. Is there a better way to do it? Also where are you guys buying aftermarket knobs from? Relatively new to this so I wanna make sure I get one that fits.
Cheers!

For a 15 there's a chrome ring that you have to twist counter clockwise and push down. Then there's a set screw that you have to take out. Then the knob pulls off.
