Brakes squeaking

Well pretty much my brakes always squeak when coming to stop and I've grown to accept it. But the issue I'm having is occasionally I hear the same noise when I'm just cruising and NOT braking. When that happens I'll tap the brakes and it'll go away for a few moments only to come back. Anyone experience this? Any help would be appreciated.

When's the last time you had your brakes checked?

How many miles do you have on the current set up?

Mostly likely it seems like it's time for some new rotors and pads.
