Final order date 6/25/15
Final production date 9/18/15

2015 Camaro Convertible;
Final order date 4/16/15
Final production date 7/31/15

Just curious, these dates are for any Camaro, ZL1, SS, SS with 1LE Package?

Those are the dates for the entire model year of the 2015 Camaro, all models/packages.

I DID have a local dealer tell me that Crystal Red Metallic (RPO code GBE) is not available for order; that it is built out for the remainder of the 5th gen production run.
Becky confirmed this.

He also told me that 1LE is on some sort of constraint, but Becky told me that 1LE is ALWAYS on constraint. Not sure exactly what all that means.

Constraints – Items that are unavailable for ordering due to plant or supplier issues. This could be a certain option or an entire model of vehicle.

Now you may be asking then if the 1LE option is always on constraint, how are they getting them produced? I think what Becky means is that probably every month of the MY that the 1LE is placed on constraint, but out of that month, the plant would spend a week building them out. Meaning they are scheduled ahead of time to be produced between the other available models and vehicles being produced in Oshawa.

Something to think about, if they produce for example 2400 Camaro's with the 1LE option and, for example, the total build-out time is over 8 months, then they need to produce 300 cars per month. So, if they could produce 60 cars of that variation in a day, it would take them 5 business days to produce that demand. Thus they put the option on Constraint so as to not overload the plant and to meet scheduling needs.

I thought it would be longer do to no retooling needed for the 2016. I also noticed that the additional discount savings is still $1000, where when I ordered and bought my 14 there was $2000 off in June, then $3000 in September.

No retooling necessary............they are moving to a new line in Lansing.

If you want a 5th gen Camaro equipped just like you like, you better get your order in by tomorrow.
