Does anyone know anything about ceramic pro?

I am considering getting my 2015 1LE ceramic pro'd. Wondering if anyone had any thoughts about it?

From what i understand it makes detailing very easy. Was curious about the rims with all the brake dust.

Are you going to be doing it yourself, or do you have somewhere to take it and have it applied?

I used opticoat. Looks amazing. Small scratched healed themselves! I used Gregg Gellas at signature detailing he is in jersey near where 78 and 287 come together.

He did a 2 step correction and the opticoat for $900.

Being able to snow foam it, rinse it and just use a quick detailer to make it look smokin hot. No elbow grease required.

Capitol Shine is a certified Ceramic Pro and Opti-Coat installer in the DC/VA/MD area. There is an FAQ section on their website that's pretty good

I have Beeds HD ceramic coating on my 1LE and it's great. Definitely makes washing/detailing easier. Also adds insane gloss to the paint, and it has several protective qualities like UV protection, hydrophobic, ect. ect. Theres several brands to choose from. You have Ceramic Pro which is probably the best, but EXTREMELY expensive. It has a lifetime warranty for a reason... Then you have Opti-coat, CQuartz, BEEDS, maybe a couple others and those are all pretty similar in quality. They all each offer a few different products that have life spans ranging from 2 to 5 years. My BEEDS HD coating is a 3 year coating. Unless you plan to keep the car forever I don't think it's worth it spending the extra money on Ceramic Pro.

Mine is not a 1LE, but I used Zaino Clear Seal. It is a similar product.

Excellent sheen. Very DIY.

Right after I did it, with my stock wheels.

Zaino clear seal is an EXCELLENT product and indeed very easy to DIY apply, but it is not similar to a ceramic coating. It's a synthetic polymer sealant, and an outstanding one but it still isn't up to the level of ceramic coatings and isn't similar in terms of what it's made of. Beautiful car!

Yea, I got tied up just thinking sealant. Lol. But not bad results for sub $40 and 20 minutes.

I went this route for cost and I am already a heavy Zaino and Adams products user. It even shines/reflects well in the garage.

Honestly if I could do it over again I probably would've went with a high end sealant, solely because of what you said: cost.

Don't get me wrong, I think the ceramic stuff is badass. But I don't think it's worth the cost to have it done professionally. If you don't need any paint correction, then I say sealant all the way. The good ones have an easy 8-12 month durability if maintained properly. If you do need some professional correction work, well in that case may as well have a ceramic coating done while you're at it.

Good paint correction can be had for a few hundred dollars. Sounds like Ceramic coating on top that will triple or quadruple the cost.
