Performance power module

Hey gang, I need some assistance. Just bought my 2012 Camaro 1SS about 5 months ago, stock. I've installed CAI intake, Flomasters outlaw Catback on the way. I also bought a Jet Performance Stage 2 Power Module. I don't know if I should install the chip and disrupt the integrity of the engine. I don't know if it's worth it and will give me the power it specifies and that I want. I here "don't install it, just tune your car", and "install it after getting rid of your restricted air flow with your exhaust". Please help

If you're not ready for a dyno tune, I would recommend a Diablo Intune or any another hand held tuner before I would recommend that. With these Jet products, they seem to have minimal programming options (or none at all), and with an actual hand held tuner, you're able to tune and re-tune again and again as you add mods to your ride. They're not much more than what you're looking at. Just my 2 cents.

You would be one of the only with a performance module between the harness and the ECU on their car..... That's a mod from older generations and if you read about the "chip" etc options that have been reviewed online it is usually to trash them and tell how they made the cars mileage suck, or worse. A good tune is usually best accomplished through going to a reputable shop using one of a couple software programs the most popular is h.p. tuner.

dont install it. Return it. its a lier chip. it tells the car your sensors are reading something there not. That is bad. if you just want a canned tune get a SCT or Diablo. They will void your drivetrain warranty Though.

Okay thank you. I did research and find that the jet stage 2 power module was the match for my car but I'm hearing you guys and I'll just dyno tune it.

Okay so please help me out then. Now that I have upgraded intake and exhaust, I am going to upgrade the brakes and rotors.. But I want more performance. I'll put that jet stage 2 chip on Craigslist but it sounds like I'll be tossing it sooner than im willing to wait to sell it. So, without pulling the top of the engine to install cam and better rods, lifters, etc, (which I would love to do) is there any other performance upgrade im not thinking about?

How about a ported throttle body, and long tube headers (since you're already going to get a tune)
