MyLink Unlock/Program Issue

I installed my Non-Nav Mylink system yesterday. I take it to Chevy dealership, because members in here said that's an option other than sending to Ofer. They tell me that my 2012 basically can't sync to the 2013 radio. Can anybody give me some info on how to get my Mylink unlocked? My last resort will be to send to Ofer, just didn't want to lose the time if I could just take to my local Chevy dealer service center

How and where did you get your MyLink system? from the dealership?
The only I got from Gen5DIY has several components that made it worked.

As far as I know, the dealer will NOT assist. This is technically considered an aftermarket radio install. And there are several parts needed in addition to radio, plus the radio needs to be programmed.

As you don't need the whole kit, contact Ofer for assistance and see what he can do to assist.

Then you just need to send it to Ofer, or find a local shop which knows how to program it.

BTW... recently GM upgraded my Camaro to 4G/LTE/WIFI HOT SPOT OnStar Module.

I'm now unsure whether there would be changes in wiring now.
I hope Gen5DIY can comment on this.
