PFADT Sway Bar set
First, how do you pronounce that? P-Fad-T, or is it one syllable like pfft..?
Secondly, I'm asking the PFADT rep that's been known to commune with us, but if anyone else knows, chime in. I'm looking at these to go on an SS. I'm just looking. Trying to find out what's available. Educating myself so I can make an informed decision. On their site, they say: Quote:
Is that because of the material, 4130 Chrome Molly. Are the ZL1 bars made of an inferior metal? Is that because of the adjust-ability, three different settings. Are the ZL1 bars adjustable? Do they only offer two settings? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance. |

Diameter of the bar doesn't tell you much. A larger diameter hollow bar may not.be as stiff as a smaller solid bar. I got some Pfadt bars used, they look beefy, but they are hollow. I don't even know the model number but I like them a lot. They feel like they have more roll resistance than the Pedders bars I originally had. The Pedders are a solid bar and they transformed the handling on my car. Sway bars are like sex: They're all good, there's just some better than others.

To answer my own question (I knew I should have read more), I found this excellent post by the man himself.

It's pronounced "fought", as in " I fought the law and the law won". LOL
