I don't understand why anyone would buy a v6 camaro or a v8 automatic. I've never understood, probably never will.

No saltiness here. I got what I could afford and I love it. Could I have got a used V8?? Sure but nothing like having a car with 3 miles on it to start with and not knowing what others did to it.

You did, unless you were looking for dual climate control, cooled seats, and other luxury features typically available at 400 horsepower. Keep in mind that there are more brands offering fast luxury cars than there are fast cars. The Camaro is a fast car, but it was benchmarked against M-series BMWs. They're not Maybachs, but they're not Kias either. Chevrolet used a premium benchmark for an affordable car, making it a great deal for the performance. Likewise, Dodge and Ford produced cars in the same power range, so I'm not pretending the Camaro is alone as a good deal for power. I'm just saying that it wasn't long ago where "fast" meant 300 horsepower and "supercar" meant 400 horsepower and standard luxury components.

doesn't your Grand Prix GXP have front-wheel drive??? What you're feeling is the torque which is way more than a V6 and yes being front-wheel drive it's not hard to break loose the tires. If you want to talk about lame, why buy a front wheel drive V8 car with automatic????
Really, you added nothing here. People drive a V6 because it costs less and/or they want the higher mileage. Years ago, there was a guy with a 4th Gen V6 camaro and he beat almost EVERYBODY on the autocross track. My buddy with his V8 Camaro couldn't beat him. Engine isn't everything. Be respectful. |

I got a V8 auto because I don't know how to drive a stick and frankly, don't care to learn. I don't care what people think that "says about me".
I don't get why anyone has to knock other people down for something they are happy about. |

Let's see
V6 vs V8 -- Check Vert vs Coupe -- Check Auto vs Manual -- Check Trolls abound -- Check Job well done I guess.
