I have to agree with this. I had a 2014 LT that I just traded in for a 2015 2SS manual with upgraded NPP quad exhaust. The V6 is a nice car but oh man does this V8 make a huge difference. Like a whole new experience driving

I made a huge mistake not buying what I really should have in the beginning after experiencing both cars. Now that I have the V8 LS3 I would have to say that was the only Camaro V6 I will ever own not that the V6 is a bad car just I like the thunder of a V8. I tried to get my 6 sounding good and it did when I nailed it but at idol and normal driving naw just wasn't working for me

I enjoyed the car but nothing like this SS

Hey in all fairness, I only have the V8 because I waited till I could find a 3yr old one with low miles. No way I could have afforded it new. But I do agree, sometimes you don't have to have the most expensive thing to be happy. It is still a great car but is just below my spoiled expectations now. Back up a few years and the V6 would have blown me away and I too would have been pleased with it although not the model my brother got. It's just way too bare bones. I'd need leather at least and maybe a sunroof.
I do believe the V6 gets quite high Consumers Reports reviews too. One other thing to mention is that my brother is coming from a V6 Stang (2007) and he loves the Camaro! Especially cuz his hood is not flaking off every time he looks at it.

Isnt really the only difference in a V8 and a V6 that anyone would ever notice in a Camaro, would be Braking Acceleration and handling? Wouldn't everything else really quite be the same?

I'm pretty sure everyone would have gotten an SS or better, but there are some people in the world, me included, who either got what they could afford or got what they were willing to pay for!

Then there are some of us who get what really they can't afford but find away just to drive the SS

this thread, again, is silly and totally useless. it really is and I don't , for the life of me understand why these threads exist. WE ALL HAVE OUR PERSONAL PREFERENCES on what we want, so don't make someone feel bad or guilty for what they WANTED! geez wiz. this is so dumb. so what if I have a damn v6??? really? who else cares??? if it is what I want, I don't have to justify it to anyone else, no matter who you are. why don't we debate that A1 steak sauce is better than BBQ sauce, or debate if accountants are better employees than Mechanical engineers??? I mean really. whats the purpose here folks? ANY model of the Camaro is a great car, no matter the engine or options or whether it has a sunroof or is a vert! its what makes the world go around. I appreciate both the LT which I have, and the SS and ZL1 for that matter, but it wasn't what I wanted for the purpose that I intended to use the car for. I chose a V8 Envoy over a v6 for a reason, I wanted it for towing. but that don't make the v6 Envoys any less of a truck! I wish we could have valuable information and debate on this forum, and for the most part, I think it is and has been very helpful. but the immature threads that appear on this forum now and then , to me leave a lot to be desired. just my 2 cents. Cant we just all respect what Camaros we do have and be done with it?

Yes I could have gotten a 2015 SS baseline model for the same price I paid for the my 2LT but I love the extras I got and really wanted them(sunroof, RS package, performance exhaust, GFX). That is why I did not test drive the V8 so I wouldn't feel the difference. I been driving left overs for 15 years. My last new vehicle was a1988 Camaro V6....and I drove that sucker for 12 years.....so I wanted those extra options in a new car.

And I'm pretty sure that's not a true statement. I did not get an SS because I did not want an SS!
I sold my C6 Corvette (3LT, LS3) to buy my 2LT Camaro. I got the 2LT with the RS package because it had the features I wanted.

I meant it from a stand point of those who wanted one but couldn't and or didnt want to afford it. Not for those who could but wanted something different.

Yeah. About 350,000 V6 5th Gens have been sold. That's a lot off opportunity for varied reasons behind thier purchase.

And more than twice the number of V8's sold . In fact if the Camaro did not have the V6 sales I do believe they wouldn't have a 6th gen right now . As 30,000 cars a year will not validate another generation cost wise
