Yep, got mine in Feb and have 8,000 on the ticker already. But, I am in a better place now to buy a beater DD truck for the winters. I still will drive the wheels off of it during better weather. Bad weather was the reason I got the Camaro. Wrecked my truck on black ice....don't wanna wreck the Camaro.

I'm really surprised by the amount of people who have a nice American Pony Car, and then a garage full of other Japanese cars. Very weird.
What's weird about it? It's not like the Camaro is even made in the US, I see made in Mexico and Japan on parts of mine. What's weird to me is all the people on this site who talk crap about random cars (not you specifically) when it sounds like they've only owned a Chevy. I originally wanted to buy a 15 Mustang GT, and after driving it and my Camaro back to back and doing some research on reliability, my decision was a slam dunk. But I have absolutely no brand loyalty, I'll get whatever car suits my needs. I've owned American, Japanese, and German cars, and they all have their individual pros and cons. It's crazy to me the amount of guys I see on this forum who say "Chevy or nothing!, Even though I've never driven the competition.."

(Again, not a jab specifically at you. Just something I've noticed on this forum compared to the other car forums I've frequented.)

Amen, very well said. I too don't get the whole brand loyalty thing. I own a bit of everything and will never be one brand specific.

I suppose I'm one of those people, though not necessarily intentionally. So far I've owned an 89 Beretta (hand me down), a 2001 Camaro, and now the 2015. Honestly, it's come down to being the car I want, at the price I want, with the features I want (excluding the first of course). That said, I guess if I could find what I want at a different brand without it costing more than I'm comfortable with I'd jump on it. Only brands I honestly don't like is Ford, and I just don't like their offerings overall, and BMW because I find them to be expensive and boring (externally at least)

If you don't want the ass hanging out on every corner it won't.

This is one of the best and easiest cars I have ever driven in the winter.

The one thing I hate is the deep snow collecting in the open 5 spokes and giving a wheel balance vibration.

I agree there is nothing weird about it, and most people have zero brand loyalty. I on the other hand am one of the 100% GM people. Have I owned other car brands? Yes I have, and had great luck with them. Would I consider another brand again? It is possible if I could not find the style vehicle I wanted equally equipped and competitively priced in the GM line up. The reason I feel this way is Nissan, Toyota, Ford, Chrysler, and the list goes on do not produce the performance cars that I want to own so I support GM at all levels of my purchases. No Japanese or European car manufacture produces a car with comparable performance to a Camaro or Corvette for the money, and these are the cars I like. Not a big Mustang fan nor Challenger fan, so that rules Ford and Chrysler out. I consider myself part of the GM team, and I am very happy to be in that position, and am yet to be ever let down. This may have come a lot from my Father, but at nearly 50, I am not changing.

I only say it's weird to me because I live in Detroit, AND I work for GM. I don't knock anyone for owning and liking what they like. I just find that at least in Detroit, people are generally loyal to one brand, whether it be American, Japanese, Euro, etc. I know Detroit is an anomaly when it comes to cars though. So to me, it's weird to see multiple brands in one garage.

In the grand scheme of things, America is one of the few countries on Earth where we own cars made in other countries... mostly becausee we don't set prohibitive taxes on foreign brands. Hence the reason why the Camaro is so expensive for our friends and Europe, and forget about even buying one in Japan.
