Thanks for the Pizza ...but what the hell is a 71 1/2 Camaro

I have NEVER heard of a 71 1/2 Camaro...

The 70 Camaro has been referred to a 70 1/2 due to its late release in Feb of 1970, but I have never heard anything about a 71 1/2 being labeled a 72. After that first model run, the next year up is the next model year. VIN says it all... it has a number or a letter that represents a number, that represent a year...

I agree, but maybe what was meant by 71 1/2 is that it was a '72 Z28 that was built in the first part of the model year. So its build date was August or so of '71?
