Z28sr2fast4yall - on the 2016 C6 forum site did a few rendering’s of the new 2016 Zl1 and Z28 (I’m sure the 1LE will look somewhere in-between) - he said he had more to come

If we get something like these, I am will very excited and will definitely moving into a Zl1

If they looked like that, I would consider buying one. The SS and V6 look too plain and boring to me. At least this would spice things up a little.

Problem is they don't exist. At least not in 2016.

They look great but manufacturer will never set a car down on the fender wells like that. Not practical in 50 states.

But, I have a question: How can Chevy call that a 6th generation Camaro when it has a body just like the 5th gen with a few tweaks?

To me, a body style change would be in order to be able to say that you've created another generation. If you park a 4th gen IROC next to my 2010 you can see that they are different. The new generation looks like my 2010 with a Fast and Furious body kit.

I would rather park a 4th gen IROC beside a 40th edition. You would really have something then.

I have been a camaro guy since I bought my 93 z28 and I never knew they made a 4th gen Iroc.

Well since its on a different platform and only two small parts are carried over from the 5th gen why would they still call it a 5th gen?

Nice renderings. still not a huge fan of the 6thGen but it does look mean as hell. Also... the Z/28 didnt come with the black hood like the 1LE so not sure why they put it on these

Those are some nice sketches.

In terms of design, I feel that Chevy will need to work hard to come up with some fresher designs for their next z/28, zl1 and/or 1/le in order for them to be interesting. Some of those renderings above mimick the 5th gen designs too closely IMO for me to be interested in them. In addition I'm not a fan (in general) of blacked-out panels, excessive carbon fiber trim or fender scoops. I want to see bold, clean body contouring and some imagination in what a future ZL, Z/28, 1/LE could look like.
