Thanks guys! Dip your car has a wheel kit plus that has the matte black, graphite metalizer, prep coat, and dip release.

Masked the wheels on the car by covering the rotors with a kitchen garbage bag. Then sprayed them on the car. Last pass each coat was a pass along the rubber and edge of rim. 5 coats of matte and 3 of metalizer. Waited 15 minutes between each coat, then 45 after the last one before I peeled the excess off of the tire and broke down the bags on the rotors.

Dip your car has a perfect vid on YouTube that I followed. It's the wheel video on yellow Audi.

Tire dressing made the dip release right off of the tire. Much easier end result than I hoped for!

Can you guys post up pics with factory wheels and with the specs for the tires you are running and whether you have lowered it a touch or not.

Also, if you have pics with any relatively cheap wheels, I'd love to see those too, along with similar info like lowered, tire size, make, and model, etc.

I am just trying to get a feel for how awesome I can make this car look with factory wheels or with cheaper aftermarket wheels.

Thanks in advance!

John
I lowered mine (399 for the springs) but best mod was using 20mm wheeladaptors to make the stock wheels sit flush with the widest part of the body. Get the good ones from H&R. They are very sturdy. Porsche used them on race cars for decades.
Plus as you can see it attracts women..lol
First picture is before wide track conversion

Oh and as far as the tires go, I bought cheap ones in the correct size at tirerack. ($155 or so)I mismatched brands front and rear and got great deals. And yes it is safe to do. Just never mix on same axle.

The standard ss/rs wheels are good, but they look even better when dipped. On .ost darker colored cars, lighter colored rims look best. On mine since I have a brigther color, darker rims seems to look better. Cant wait to see what Bee looks like with his new rims.

Way to many black rims. Once they are painted black they start looking the same. Still nice but way to common.

Zombie thread...… Ditched those stockers fast as I could, they were a disappointment for me they looked so MEH compared even to the prior design on 10- early 13; sold them online to someone for a little change. Also ditched the Pzeros eventually for Toyo Proxes 4+...…… But hey I could have bought some earlier rims for cheap at a tire store..like $300 a set.... Taste in badges, wheels, retro or futuristic all that is subjective just like decals and colors and etc...….
