I remember watching an interview with a GM engineer on the performance division were he said they deal with emissions, effeciency, warranty, sound suppression and drive ability. No car is perfect off the showroom floor for most of us. That's were sema come in lol.

I'm well aware... But a lot of things came into play... Like not forging the bottom end and/or not wanting to run more boost. I wanted something "safe", that didn't require a torque converter change or having to fall into the snowball effect of replacing every other part of the drive train.

The potential is there to up the boost, swap out the cam, and make some other small changes. It's a good base start.

Well, hopefully you're just taking it slow and responsible. I wouldn't buy a blower and expect less than 600. I would, however, creep up to that level of power just to satisfy my ocd.

There's nothing safe in this hobby sir, no such thing.

Haha. Excellent point. I was arguing with another guy at work about stangkilr's blown tranny. He thought it was dumb to go from 12psi to 20+ psi all at once. I said what difference does it make? The tranny is purchased and installed. It'll either hold the power or not. Why *****foot around?

For anyone that can do their own labor and do not want to go through the trouble of springs, harden pushrods, big lopy idle, cost of a tune and sacrifice driveability I would suggest this cam. It cost $100 plus a few parts and about 5 hours labor. The car does sound little different but would go unnoticed at a dealer. Again, I am all for a big cam and big power but this is my DD and I wanted stock sound and stock drivability. My goal for the whole project was to make the same power as a full bolt on car i.e. headers,tb,full exhaust, cai, and tune but without the cost. I have $500 so far in mods. My labor is free so I think my goal was reached for now.

What were ur gains on the Dyno after tune?
