Well, yesterday I decided to finally get the throttle cables sorted out. If you noticed in the video above, revving the engine meant twisting the throttle upwards, due to cables from a Harley. Had to cut off the ends and swap the push/pull cable positions, but the cables were almost exact length and they turned out too short in the end. The only place that had barrel type cable ends was the local farm store, and got two mountain bike brake cables from the bike store. Had to grind down the barrel end of the cables to get the diameter down to fit the 1/4" holes on the grip side and then used 1/4" barrels to get the length I wanted at the carbs.
Now to get working on the seat and the rear cross bar. I'll be away for two weeks starting this weekend, so no more updates till I get back...

Well I've been fiddling with it a bit and started fooling around with a seat pan design to be fiberglassed on the bike. Also used the stock rear fender to make a shorter fender/tail. Pics when I can figure out what the heck is wrong with the app on my phone

Fiberglass pan, yoga mat seat foam should get it looking sweet.

Pic of the proposed seat pan design and the fender somewhere in the location I'd like it to be. Can't do much more until I get a rear hoop mounted.

I don't know if you have tube bending capabilities but I get all of my hoops on eBay, and just weld them on, usually under $50. Looking good.

Thanks, never thought to check ebay. Found one for a CB that'll fit mine.

Made a little box for the ignition switch and headlight hi/lo switch

Turned the clamps into switches instead of buying them for $150/ea.

SO ... Started working on the seatpan (in sheetmetal) and also got the rear hoop welded on and seatpan about 75% complete. Also mounted the ignition/headlight hi/lo switch box I made.

Then the last pic shows the fender mounted to the frame.

Turn signal controller going in. Handles all the lights except headlight. Does turn/hazard/brake.

New shocks and 4-1 header installed and cut short cos it didn't quite work due to being a KZP
