Night Fury Cam Installed in 1LE

Finally got my cam put in and tuned. Before cam i made 417/411 with headers rotofab and tune. After cam I put down 461/405 (same dyno) with nf cam and ported throttle body. Gained 44 hp overall and 60 hp @6600 rpm (lol useful). I've only driven home with it but so far I think I am going to love it. I can definitely feel the loss of vacuum and loss of torque down low. It's not terrible, but just noteworthy. Up top however, it pulls and pulls and pulls. On the highway I didn't realize I was upwards of about 100mph just trying to get a feel for the shift on the power curve. Am making a long trip today for the holiday so I will get some more time with it. I'll post the before and after curves here and an idle video a little later

So before the cam you had 411 tq and after you have 405tq? Something is wrong here. You should have at least 440tq being that its a 1le

He isn't the 1st one with a NF cam losing TQ but damn a 44rwhp bump?

He might need to ship it back and get the right one back.

I haven't heard of people losing tq. I know I would've been pissed off. I went from 389 tq to 444 after the nf install

Yes I lost some. I wasn't sure how the results would come back. I just got back from a drive and the butt dyno is very happy

Lol I don't think I need to do all of that. I love the way it drives now so I'm happy. If anything I will get it dyno'd at another location sometime down the road. But i won't get caught up in the numbers.

Don't think a 1le would have any more torque than a regular SS. Gears don't show torque increase on dyno's

Shouldn't have lost torque. You may lost bottom end power but hp and tq overall should increase. But if your happy with the car then that's all that matters.

Only 461 with the NF? I've seen 480+ out of this cam.... something is wrong. LS3 or L99?

1le's have proven to show more HP and tq. They have the electric power steering along with the reg ss 13' and up. Idk what it is but they seem to dyno better and are stronger for some reason.

It's a 1LE, so it's an LS3.

There's been a few threads on here of people losing TQ and gaining a few HP it's either a hit or a miss. We just swapped one out here for another one and big difference. We jumped 28rwhp and 30fttq over his old NF cam

For the record some shops also stock the NF cam which I think are not really a NF cam in the 1st place. That can also be an issue if you didn't order it from Lethal

Ordered mine straight from lethal and shipped straight from cam motion. Ordered it not even a month ago.
