I finally found according to the GM performace catalog that the LSA springs can only hold a max lift of .520 which is not enough for the ls9 cam. The LS9 springs according to my research are the same as LS6 springs,

I'm really confused too lol. I currently have a 2.55 upper, 8.66 lower (10%)... So I'm thinking about putting the GM ls9 cam as well. So should I only upgrade the springs? And if yes, to which springs? Could someone please shed some light my way lol

Would these work?

It says I can reuse the retainers n all.

This is what you want
http://www.briantooleyracing.com/660...ers-sk001.html

And go ahead and get a bigger cam that is more worth the trouble than the LS9 cam.

Plus you have already upped the boost which is equivalent to increasing the compression ratio. Doing so has required a lot of ign. timing to be pulled in the tune. Which kills your torque and power. Getting a bigger cam now with a later intake valve closing point will lower your "Dynamic Compression Ratio". This is the compression ratio that is based on your cam choice. Google it.
Now when you get a bigger/longer duration cam and it lowers your dynamic compression ratio you can advance the ign timing back where it needs to be at WOT(about 23 degrees). Then you will see some real power gains and can also more easily run 93 pump gas with out having to add octane boosters. An LS9 cam will not help in this way because it was designed with stock level boost in mind.

Damn!! Guess when you want something done right you need to do it yourself. I work at a dealership and had one of the parts guys compare #'s for me. Will verify what he looked up in the morning.

Awesome... Forgot about the other boost lol. Thanks for ur help. The only reason I don't want to up the cam is because I don't want another lawn mower in my garage lol. I saw this video

http://youtu.be/qoqp4tZiEac
So this is the only thing that drew me away. If there's a cam that doesn't sound as choppy ( prefer smooth idle ), made for daily driving and for an A6... I can consider it but Bc of my knowledge level, I haven't found one yet that meets my needs except the GM ls9... Any ideas?

I have tuned the stg 3 in a couple cars and it idles very nicely if done right.
Or if you want a stock like idle get the BTR STG II

The LSA CAM is a single.
