Take a guess at the ticking sound.
A few days ago, my car started missing a little like a loaded plug or a fowled out one. It was intermittent and would come and go, I was going to pull the plugs and see what they look like. I just bought and moved into a new house with my gf. Were combining two houses into one and things have been, hectic and crazy to say the least. So I blew off pulling a plug. One day I was driving and I never actually floored the pedal but I put the car into boost. I had forgotten about the miss, but it does not matter if I was part throttle or full. When I pulled into the garage I heard this ticking. Matt told me to pull the valve covers off and see if it was a broken spring or rocker. Took the covers off and everything is perfect, no bent pushrods, no broken rocker, and the springs are find. Anybody want to guess what the sound is? I know its not a real mystery, just want to confirm its not in the bottom end.

Ouch. Yea, I'd be careful man. That's too loud to be a plug. Certainly get that checked out as soon as possible!

The sound you hear in the video, is not the same "miss" I was experiencing. Well there was no sound associated with the miss at all. The ticking happened after the incident. Sorry if I did not make that clear.

Yes, keep us posted on the outcome. I've been impressed in following your build for quite awhile. Hope all turns out 'minor'.

No, I need to take the heads off, and i'm not sure I want to do that kind of work. Having the car sit will bother me and who knows, I may just do it anyway.

Yea me to, believe me I'm bummed, but surprisingly not irritated, and we all know, you gotta pay to play and stuff happens.

Yea, hopefully the cam is still ok.
The rod scenario is my fear. My goals have been to forge the bottom end, but that's a year or two off.

Should be able to pull the intake/valley plate and look at the cam and most of the lifters. That is how i found a bad lifter before.

I'm not sure I want to tear it down that far, I'm emailing back and forth with Matt now, if he wants me to pull the manifold, I will.
