You think people around here aren't strapped, especially the ones doing the car jacking? There's probably more illegal firearms circulating Oakland/East Bay than almost anywhere in the US.

I think you would be hard pressed to beat Chicago on that front!

Cause we all know criminals obey gun laws.

The car was found today in Oakland. From the pictures posted on Facebook, the engine, transmission, wheels, brakes, seats, radio and center console gauges are missing.

me too, its more valuable to camaro owners evidently. im not in the bay but im in a town just east of the bay where the crime is just as bad if not worse due to a lower population. im tired of hearing these stories and i feel for the owners this is happening to, they need to find these low-lifes.

....and, have you seen where they park these cars in the show Bait Car? not the most glamorous parts of town.... I wouldn't even think twice of parking my Camaro there, or even drive through those parts of town...

It seems pretty obvious that there is a professional group of thieves stealing Camaros in and around Oakland, California.. and probably also in Texas and Florida. These guys seem to know how to defeat all the GM anti-theft devices. The cars are always found stripped of the engine/tranny, wheels, and seats. So they are selling these parts to someone. I just wish the Feds would go after them. This has been happening for a long time.
