My car has the Recaros, moon roof, manual transmission and less than 3000 miles. Basic mods (MGW shifter, Moroso catch can, Rotofab, ported TB) with zero cosmetic blemishes or damage. Never even used launch control. I own the car outright with clear title in hand.

What would you realistically list it for on a site like autotrader or similar? KBB lists the value around $47,250.
I got $49k trade in last month on my 14. I had the Recaro pkg too. 8000 miles. Auto.

That price sounds reasonable to start with. Expect to negotiate from 2-5K to get a buyer.

How much seat time have you had in the Stingray? Is this for weekend fun, track time, or significant amount of driving?

I ask because i have a 2015 ZL1 and my spouse has a 2014 Z51, both manual.

Both cars are fantastic, and COMPLETELY different. The ZL1 is extremely smooth with crazy strong pull, but it's so smooth that you miss the visceral experience you have with the vette. The vette makes you feel like you and the vette are in partnership, it's also very easy to drive and very forgiving, the LT1 doesn't have anywhere near the power of the ZL1 - but still plenty, steering is a lot more agile, and you feel every bump in the road, amount of buffering depends on your settings.

I chose the ZL1 because I daily drive her 2 hours a day and I'd be exhausted in the vette with all that driving. I think the vette is a more "fun and involved" car for weekend fun driving or track time.

The ZL1 feels like luxury and massive power and makes me feel spoiled. The vette wakes me up and puts my senses more on edge.

And never drove a Z06 - can only imagine!

Not a bad idea to gain some extra money by selling the ZL1 Recaros to another ZL1 owner. I will throw my hat into the ring if you are interested. I really do not think it will make much of a trade / sell difference without the Recaros.

I was only offered $44k on trade, 2014 7200 miles Auto, Nav, exposed carbon fiber, no sun roof. I laughed at the guy and said I won't give it away. I will not take less than $48K which is a steal for this car.

Got it listed on Aurotrader at $48,500 to leave myself a little room for negotiation. There's a cut off where it makes more sense for me to trade it in to negate sales tax on the Stingray purchase.

I have a 14 convert. with every option minus the recaros. I also added a lot of nice extras that I knew when I did them that I would never see a return on them (atleast from a dealer). I tried to see what the market was offering about 6 months ago, and my best offer was 44k my lowest offer was 37k all from dealers. what kills me is the usual pitch them hand out, they love to tell me that's all the wholesalers are willing to pay. But I know very well that if they sold they car on their lot (which they probably would do) they could get 50k. It used to be that a dealer would look to give you about 3k less then what they would sell it for, now they want to try to make about 10k on you. This is mainly because customers have allowed the dealers to feel comfortable doing it to us.

Good luck with your sale, I hope you get what you want. If you do decide to trade the car with your Corvette purchase, you might want to consider selling your Recaros to a ZL1 owner without them and make some money. I really do not see them making as big a difference in a trade as compared to selling them. Also, I have both a 2012 ZL1 and a 2015 Stingray. Let me know if you any questions before you make the trade if you are not sure about something.

I recently have been getting trade in quotes on my 13 ZL1 vert. loaded out with everything, 4500 miles.

one dealer told me 41500, another told me 45000. both sight unseen, based on my info. both trade in on a $90k car
