Might have to get these. I like having a real key, turning the remote just feels odd.

Yes, the bulletin states the part number listed contains 10 fillers, and 10 battery covers, and will service 10 transmitters (or 5 vehicles) Seems the battery cover may have been modified to retain the filler. Your dealer should not charge if you have had the recall completed.

Went to the dealer today to grab some all weather mats and the parts guy said it is not available for them to order yet and just keep calling back. Bummer as I hate that gap lol.

I went to my loco stealership this afternoon for the drivers seat recall---They asked if I wanted the key done and told me "No Problem" when I declined it.

Yeah, honestly, it would be simple for anyone to install these parts themselves. GM should just mail the parts to anyone who had the recall performed, if the customer does not feel comfortable doing it themselves, then they could bring them to the dealer to have them installed.

Why are you guys giving up your key. They will never change mine over has anyone's knees ever turned off the car while driving. I love my switchblade key and the key fob looks stupid without the key even with that filler key.

I didn't give my key up, I happen to just purchase my 15 about a month ago and they come with the new keys. So, it be nice to fill the gap.

Yep. I do it more often than I'd like. Long legs and such. Haven't done it in at least a solid year though, just gotta be mindful of where my knee is.

Haven't and won't give up my switchblade key though.

I guess im old fashioned. I hate the remotes with the keys in em. Feels wrong to turn such a bulky key to start it. I enjoy a regular key.

I hate that the damn remote is so big though, and hate the hole in the side. This at least solves 1 problem. Plus, i like that it will say Camaro right on my remote.

I have actually considered filling the gap with bondo or something before.

When I took my SS to my dealer a few weeks ago for my free oil change, I told the service manager when I gave him the key "There's a recall on this key, and I don't want it done." He was like "What???" - never heard of it. He laughed and said "Fine- We'll leave the key alone." Love my dealership

The neat thing is, the filler reads "CAMARO" The part was just released, therefore may take a bit for your dealer to get them in.

Careful you don't hit it with your knee and knock it out
