In my line of work +/- means about, and just about every other job I've ever had it was the same. So even in your definirion it would cover me to 0 rpms to 2k... Where did the -500 come from?

Thanks found it. The disc seems very tight when I am looking at it under the car and engine off. No rattling when tapping. Any suggestions here?

I don't know. I never mentioned -500.

I still dont get where this disc is. I've installed high flow cats and have taken that coupler off. Bent the tabs back and still never seen that disc.
I too have the low rpm rattle.

I recently bought a used 2013 2ss 1le with the npp exhaust and it had a metallic rattle that sounded like a loose heat shield. I really did not want to take into the dealer.
Found this thread on google and jacked up the car this morning, sure enough the small disk pictured in the thread was the culprit. The one on the passenger side had broken loose and was rattling around under the clip/ tang shown in the first post, the one on the driver side was still solidly welded. The spot weld on the passenger side puck probably broke loose during assembly at the factory. Thanks for posting this thread, saved me a trip to the dealer. |
