The Wrecking Crew
They were the studio musicians behind some of the biggest hits in the 1960s and '70s. I’m so glad I heard Denny Tedesco talking about this documentary on public radio. He wanted to tell his father’s story but the licensing cost of the music involved 700K so no one would touch it. This is a must see for all especially if you remember the songs. I had no idea bands didn’t record there songs back then, now you would get the boot! I mean sure I knew the Monkeys were actors but these session musicians did the arrangements, the sound that made the #1 records. The bands would do a simplified version live. Cher looks better than ever, I could go on but just watch it!

I rented the DVD from Netflix it’s a fairly new release, I’m sure it will be on PBS someday. I don’t think it will get much attention on this thread but if people knew what it is it would be popular. I usually don’t pay any attention to a documentary but when I watch them I end up enjoying them.
